A blob of toothpaste is called a nurdle.
The everyday toothbrush blob may not seem like a big deal to you, but actually caused a court dispute between the two biggest toothpaste brands in America. In 2010, GlaxoSmithKline got sued by Colgate Palmolive for claiming ownership of using nurdle pictures in branding and packaging.

Mr. Potato head used to be made of actual potato.
When Mr. Potato Head was first released in 1952, the toy only included eyes, noses, and mouths. For the potato body, kids were expected to provide their own. However, due to the possible safety hazards of the sharp pieces, the plastic body was provided in 1964.

Womenโ€™s History Month

About Women's History Month

Women's History Month had its origins as a national celebration in 1981 when Congress passed Pub. L. 97-28 which authorized and requested the President to proclaim the week beginning March 7, 1982 as โ€œWomenโ€™s History Week.โ€ Throughout the next five years, Congress continued to pass joint resolutions designating a week in March as โ€œWomenโ€™s History Week.โ€ In 1987 after being petitioned by the National Womenโ€™s History Project, Congress passed Pub. L. 100-9 which designated the month of March 1987 as โ€œWomenโ€™s History Month.โ€ Between 1988 and 1994, Congress passed additional resolutions requesting and authorizing the President to proclaim March of each year as Womenโ€™s History Month. Since 1995, presidents have issued a series of annual proclamations designating the month of March as โ€œWomenโ€™s History Month.โ€ These proclamations celebrate the contributions women have made to the United States and recognize the specific achievements women have made over the course of American history in a variety of fields.

Eagle Scout Candidate Zach Kramer Searches For Revolutionary Soldier Remains At Symmes Park

In the heart of Hamilton, Ohio, a stirring tale of youthful dedication unfolds as Zackary Kramer, a 17-year-old junior at Badin High School, takes the reins of history with a profound sense of duty and reverence. Motivated by a sense of injustice surrounding the unmarked resting place of Revolutionary War veteran Paul Bonnel and his wife Mary in what is now Symmes Park, Kramer sets out on a mission to rectify this historical oversight.

Partnering with The Underground Detective, a Cincinnati-based company renowned for its expertise in uncovering hidden truths, Kramer embarks on a quest to locate the long-forgotten graves of these honorable figures. Driven by a deep-rooted passion for history, Kramer expresses, "We're searching for their exact position so we can honor them more justly."

Hamilton, steeped in the annals of American history with the establishment of Fort Hamilton in 1791, bears witness to Kramer's unwavering commitment to preserving its heritage. The grounds of Symmes Park, once the hallowed Hamilton Burying Grounds, hold within their midst the echoes of bygone eras. Though the majority of souls were relocated to Greenwood Cemetery in 1848, the Bonnels remained undisturbed, prompting Kramer's resolute endeavor.

As the Hollow Earth Festival approaches on April 13, Kramer's dedication shines brightly, illuminating the path to remembrance. Contemplating the possibility of discovering the Bonnels' final resting place, Kramer remains steadfast in his resolve. "If we can undoubtedly find them, we'll place a marker there," he declares, envisioning a tribute befitting their valor and sacrifice.

Yet, even amidst uncertainty, Kramer's commitment remains unwavering. With profound respect for the sanctity of the deceased, he asserts, "We will not exhume the Bonnels' remains or any others we may locate." Instead, a ceremony of reverence will ensue, paying homage to their memory and the legacy they left behind.

Chris Maraschiello, a teacher at the Hamilton Freshman High School, recognizes the significance of this endeavor. "It's just really great to have kids interested in history," he acknowledges, emphasizing the importance of nurturing such passion for posterity.

In the crucible of Hamilton's history, Zackary Kramer emerges as a beacon of hope, illuminating the path to remembrance and honoring the valor of those who came before. With each step forward, he breathes life into the past, ensuring that the legacy of the Bonnels and all who rest in Symmes Park endures for generations to come.
