Hamilton! Thrive Issue #155

June 14th -There will be a lot of hot dads this weekend!! Happy Father's Day !!

Congrats, you just joined the best newsletter in Hamilton!

Welcome to the Hamilton Thrive Newsletter! We bring you the juiciest local news and events every weekday at 6 AM. Unlike my days delivering the Northwest Press πŸ—žοΈ on my bicycle, it will arrive quietly in your inbox, not in the bushes by the front door! 🀣

You might be wondering, "What makes Hamilton Thrive different from all the other newsletters out there?" Great question.

For starters, we have a strict no-boring policy. Even if we're writing about β€œexciting” topics like budgets and road closures. We keep it interesting like watching PeeWee baseball!

So when can you expect to start getting these enthralling emails? 6 AM of whatever is the closest weekday. In the meantime, we'd like to get to know what’s going on in your world. We have a Community Billboard where we will post your events, yard sales, reunions, birthdays, etc. Send an email with your happenings to [email protected]

I'm looking forward to sharing all the Hamilton happenings with you. If you just can't wait to read the Thrive, you can read any of our back issues here.

I have made some changes to the format to address the suggestions that were made. My number one goal is your satisfaction. Remember - majority rules. Make your voice heard at [email protected]
Sincerely,
Joe Enderle, Editor In Chief - Hamilton Thrive

Reader Input

I love getting messages from my readers ! Got this message about the Hamilton Joe Baseball Game on Thursday Night :
β€œHamilton Joe's was a 3 night thriller! I know no one on the team. & nobody else there either. There was nothing good on TV, the weather was made for nice evenings. The refreshments were great. Tonight Gapper from the Reds showed up. We all had fun & the price was right. Check it out!”
Thank you Darla

A man asked me for a dollar.
I told him I only carry big bills.
He said give him one of those.
So I gave him my electric bill.🀣🀣

Natural Health and Nutrition Tips That Are Evidence-Based

Meditate

Stress has a negative effect on your health. It can affect your blood sugar levels, food choices, susceptibility to sickness, weight, fat distribution, and more. For this reason, it’s important to find healthy ways to manage your stress.

Meditation is one such way, and it has some scientific evidence to support its use for stress management and improving health.

In one study involving 48 people with high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, or both, researchers found that meditation helped lower LDL (bad) cholesterol and inflammation compared with the control group. Additionally, the participants in the meditation group reported improved mental and physical wellness.
