Hamilton! Thrive Issue #142
Wednesday - May 29th - Outdoor Activities Gearing Up!
Congrats, you just joined the best newsletter in Hamilton! |
Welcome to the Hamilton Thrive Newsletter! We bring you the juiciest local news and events every weekday at 6 AM. Unlike my days delivering the Northwest Press ποΈ on my bicycle, it will arrive quietly in your inbox, not in the bushes by the front door! π€£ |
You might be wondering, "What makes Hamilton Thrive different from all the other newsletters out there?" Great question. |
For starters, we have a strict no-boring policy. Even if we're writing about βexcitingβ topics like budgets and road closures. We keep it interesting like watching PeeWee baseball! |
So when can you expect to start getting these enthralling emails? 6 AM of whatever is the closest weekday. In the meantime, we'd like to get to know whatβs going on in your world. We have a Community Billboard where we will post your events, yard sales, reunions, birthdays, etc. Send an email with your happenings to [email protected] |
I'm looking forward to sharing all the Hamilton happenings with you. If you just can't wait to read the Thrive, you can read any of our back issues here. |
SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT !!
Itβs May and the weather is getting warmer. I encourage everyone to take advantage of our community billboard. There will be plenty of yard sales and other local activities that can be posted to share with our readers. If you have an event or know of something going on on your block, please let us know so we can post and promote for you! Email your info to:

City of Hamilton Health Department looking for community feedback
The City of Hamilton Health Department is seeking feedback from Hamilton residents on its Community Health Improvement Plan, or CHIP.
The City of Hamilton Health Department, Butler County General Health District, and the City of Middletown Health Department are working together to improve resident wellness. A key part of this effort is identifying and addressing community health needs.
In 2023, these agencies conducted a Community Health Assessment (CHA) to identify the main health issues in the area. The results of this assessment were used to create a Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP). The CHIP outlines how to address the needs identified in the CHA, providing a roadmap for health departments and community partners to enhance population health.
The CHIP focuses on three priority areas identified in the CHA: Mental Health & Addiction, Chronic Disease, and Maternal & Infant Health. It details the actions and timelines for addressing these issues.
The Hamilton Health Department is seeking feedback from residents to ensure the CHIP strategies meet the community's health needs. Your input is important and invaluable. Public comment is available from May 28th until June 11th. To submit comments, please email [email protected].
Please click HERE to view the complete 2024 - 2026 CHIP.

Natural Health and Nutrition Tips That Are Evidence-Based
Get moving
Doing aerobic exercise, or cardio, is one of the best things you can do for your mental and physical health.
Itβs particularly effective at reducing belly fat, the harmful type of fat that builds up around your organs. Reduced belly fat may lead to major improvements in your metabolic health.
According to the Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans, we should strive for at least 150 minutes of moderate intensity activity each week.
