Prepare to be swept away by the sheer magnitude and artistic brilliance of what's in store for Hamilton this summer! The 2024 StreetSpark mural, poised to adorn the flood wall along the majestic Great Miami River, is not just enormousโ€”it's an awe-inspiring testament to creativity and community spirit.

Imagine a canvas stretching an impressive 250 feet wide and soaring 15 feet high, beckoning viewers into a world of vibrant storytelling. This masterpiece, titled Tourism Series: Hamilton, crafted by the visionary minds of Often Seen Rarely Spoken (OSRS), promises to be a visual feast unlike any other.

The anticipation builds as we await the unveiling of this monumental artwork, which will mark the second-largest mural in the illustrious nine-year history of the StreetSpark program. Only rivaled by the breathtaking Taking Flight mural of 2017, this new creation is set to captivate hearts and minds alike.

With the Miami Conservancy District's stamp of approval, the stage is set for OSRS to work their magic, weaving together elements of Hamilton's rich heritage with contemporary flair. Picture the past seamlessly intertwining with the present, forming a tapestry of cultural significance that will resonate for generations to come.

OSRS, a dynamic mural company and art collective known for pushing boundaries, brings their expertise to the forefront once again. With over 200 mural projects spanning a dozen states, their reputation precedes them as pioneers of the urban art scene.

But the magic doesn't stop there. Community engagement takes center stage as volunteers gather for a riverbank cleanup from 9 - 11 am on Saturday June 1st, infusing the project with a sense of shared purpose and camaraderie. And when the brushes finally touch the canvas on June 3rd, a whirlwind of creativity will sweep through the city, culminating in a dazzling dedication celebration slated for July.

Since its inception in 2016, StreetSpark has been a beacon of artistic expression, breathing new life into the streets of Hamilton. With 19 murals and 17 utility boxes already gracing the landscape, each piece serves as a testament to the program's commitment to fostering creativity and enhancing the city's visual allure.

As we eagerly await the unfolding of this latest chapter in Hamilton's artistic journey, one thing is certain: the 2024 StreetSpark mural is not just a work of artโ€”it's a testament to the power of imagination and the boundless potential of community collaboration. Get ready to be inspired, Hamiltonโ€”the best is yet to come! ๐ŸŽจโœจ

Experience a Journey Through Time: The Dayton Lane Historic District's May Promenade

This Sunday, May 19th, a remarkable event unfolds in Hamilton, Ohio. Itโ€™s a day when guests step back into history, enveloped in live music, elegant gentlemen donning dapper attire, antique bicycles gliding gracefully, and breathtaking sights adorning the streets of the Dayton Lane Historic District.

This Sunday, nearly a dozen properties will unveil their stories to curious visitors, offering a glimpse into the rich tapestry of Hamilton's past. Some of the locations are veterans of the tour, some have been dormant; there are also some new arrivals on the scene.

The May Promenade, presented by the Dayton Lane Historic District, is a self-guided walking tour of historic homes, set against the backdrop of a bygone era. Each ticket grants access to a horse-drawn carriage ride, adding an extra touch of nostalgia to the experience. Tickets can be purchased in advance for $20 or on the day of the event for $25 by visiting THIS SITE

Amidst the revitalization efforts in the city, the May Promenade serves as a beacon of Hamiltonโ€™s romantic past, drawing both locals and visitors alike to appreciate our history and heritage.

From contemporary marvels to Victorian gems like the Benninghofen House, the tour offers a diverse array of architectural wonders. Trinity Episcopal Church, a venerable institution, opens its doors to curious souls, adding another layer of historical depth to the promenade.

The festivities extend beyond mere sightseeing. The Fort Hamilton Jazz Band serenades attendees as they wander from location to location, while high-wheel cyclists from Ohio Wheelmen evoke the spirit of yesteryear. Campbell Avenue Park hosts games, and the entire neighborhood pulsates with the energy of camaraderie and celebration.

Nestled within the Dayton Lane Historic District lies a community like no other. Its homes, built predominantly in the 1880s and 1890s, exude an eclectic charm, reflecting the diverse backgrounds of its inhabitants. Each house in the neighborhood speaks for itself, telling tales of the inspirations that generated unique architectures and expressive designs. Come listen to the silent stories that each structure expresses. Uniqueness and differentiation are the commonality that stitches this neighborhood together. Neither sameness nor repetition of design exist here and that really sets these homes apart.

More than just a stroll through history, the May Promenade serves a noble cause. All proceeds from the event support the Dayton Lane Historic District, ensuring the preservation of its architectural treasures and public spaces. Through their efforts, the district also extends a helping hand to other community groups, embodying the spirit of solidarity and generosity.

For over 25 years, the May Promenade has captivated the hearts of history enthusiasts, potential homebuyers, antique collectors, and wanderers from afar. Held every two years, it stands as a testament to the enduring allure of Hamilton's past and the timeless beauty of its historic district. As guests embark on this journey through time, they become part of a story that transcends generations, weaving together the threads of the past, present, and future.

What do you call a sad cup of coffee? Depresso.๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ

The guy says, "It's not that. I just never thought the parrot would sell the place."๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ

Natural Health and Nutrition Tips That Are Evidence-Based

Donโ€™t fear coffee

Despite some controversy over it, coffee is loaded with health benefits.

Itโ€™s rich in antioxidants, and some studies have linked coffee intake to longevity and a reduced risk of type 2 diabetes, Parkinsonโ€™s and Alzheimerโ€™s diseases, and numerous other illnesses.

The most beneficial intake amount appears to be 3โ€“4 cups per day, although pregnant people should limit or avoid it completely because it has been linked to low birth weight.

However, itโ€™s best to consume coffee and any caffeine-based items in moderation. Excessive caffeine intake may lead to health issues like insomnia and heart palpitations. To enjoy coffee in a safe and healthy way, keep your intake to less than 4 cups per day and avoid high-calorie, high-sugar additives like sweetened creamer.
